Our programs

SECTION 8 HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHER PROGRAM

The Glassboro Housing Authority administers 232 units of tenant based rental assistance in the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. Under the program, the participants generally pays 30% of their adjusted monthly income towards rent and utilities and the GHA pays the rental assistance directly to third party landlords on behalf of the assisted participant. The participant is free to choose any housing that meets the requirements of the program and is not limited to units located in subsidized housing projects. The assisted dwelling units are subject to inspections in accordance with Housing Quality Standards promulgated by the U.S. Department of HUD.

PROJECT-BASED VOUCHER PROGRAM (RAD)

The Glassboro Housing Authority currently owns three (3) and operates one (1) developments designed for elderly or disabled persons.. The developments contain efficiency, one, and two bedroom apartments. Tenants pay 30% of their adjusted monthly income towards rent and utilities.
